MY TEARS KEPT ON FALLING by Joanne Boyle

"MY TEARS KEPT ON FALLING"
by Joanne Boyle

I woke up this morning.
I was feeling rather blue.
It was the same old feeling.
It was nothing new.
I glanced outside the window
and then I looked away,
but realised there was something,
different from yesterday.
The little windmill in garden
was going around and round.
There wasn't any wind.
There wasn't any sound.
The rose bush we both planted,
was now In full bloom.
The thorns of yesterday,
now wore their own perfume.
The little bird bath without water,
had a Robin splashing there.
I stood with my mouth open.
I couldn't help but stare.
The bird house had some seeds.
I had neglected it for so long.
Caught up in my own grief.
To realise you weren't gone.
I opened up the door.
I breathed in the air,
and a butterfly appeared
right there on the chair.
My tears kept on falling,
as happiness filled my heart.
I knew you'd find your way.
I knew we wouldn't part.

WITHOUT THINKING by Becky Hemsley

"WITHOUT THINKING"
by Becky Hemsley

I reached for you this morning
Without thinking as I woke
The way I always used to
As the day so softly broke
I looked for you whilst eating
In the place we used to meet
And realised, without thinking
I’d been saving you a seat
I called for you just now
Because I thought I’d seen you there
And without thinking, suddenly
Your name was on the air
I cried for you last night
Because I couldn’t keep it in
And instinct took me over
As I let the darkness win
But that is how it is these days
And I have understood
That so much of my thinking
Will lead back to thoughts of us
So, I’ll think of you tomorrow
Like I did just yesterday
And like, without much thinking
I have thought of you today
See, it’s such a contradiction
But it couldn’t be more true
That always, without thinking
I am thinking about you

LIFE THROUGH THE LENS by Tahlia Hunter

"LIFE THROUGH THE LENS"
by Tahlia Hunter

When you learn to view life through the lens of "I am here to grow and evolve," you will no longer see your problems, mistakes or detours as disasters to be avoided, but as treasured opportunities to transform and uncover your strength.
No longer will you see a life filled with no difficulties, dramas, or mishaps as the ultimate ideal; instead, you will fully embrace each obstacle that you encounter, trusting that it is serving a purpose along your path, so that when you reach the end of your life, you will be able to truly say and know within your heart, "I have lived."

NOBODY'S RESPONSIBILITY TO LOVE ME by Tahlia Hunter

"NOBODY'S RESPONSIBILITY TO LOVE ME"
by by Tahlia Hunter

'Today, as I enter the world,
I will be greeted by many people.
To some, I will appear beautiful,
while to others, I will appear ugly —
but this is not personal,
for their perceptions
merely reflect
their own beliefs and insecurities.
For when they stare at me,
in me, they are seeing a reflection of themselves
and in the same way,
within each person I encounter is my reflection.
And so, people may love me one day
and hate me the next,
for I am mirroring back to them
how they feel about themselves
and the parts of themselves
that they have either accepted or rejected,
but how I see myself
remains with me always
and so this is what counts.
For it is nobody’s responsibility to love me
but my own.'

I STOOD BESIDE THE RIVERBANK by Joanne Boyle

"I STOOD BESIDE THE RIVERBANK"
by Joanne Boyle

I stood beside the river bank
and watched you float away.
I held on to a piece of you
but I knew you couldn't stay.
And then there was a hundred
or maybe even more,
so many magical moments
rose above the shore.
I saw your favourite dance
as the waves played your tune.
I was mesmerised by it all
and I knew you'd be home soon.
I shouted out your name
it got lost in the light breeze,
I told you to turn around
in fact I shouted please.
I didn't want to leave you
but I knew you had to go.
My love Swam within my memories
underneath a moonlit glow.
I now watch you from the river bank
and our memories go in-between.
A Life is never lost
whilst reliving all that's been.

PIECES by Becky Hemsley

"PIECES"
by Becky Hemsley

I watched her drop the mirror
Saw her face adopt the fear
That she would now be destined
To bad luck for seven years
But she looked at the pieces
There were hundreds, maybe more
And she noticed how they caught the light
In ways they’d not before
The light was bouncing everywhere
All spirited and bright
A hundred little mirrors
Bringing all that light to life
So she picked up all the pieces
Whilst she still had every chance
And she turned her bad luck
Into opportunities to dance
And if you ever watched her
You’d have noticed how she smiled
How she moved and shimmered
Like her soul had come alive
And if you didn’t know her secret
You would not consider
That the glitterball she danced around
Was once a broken mirror

TELL ME TOMORROW by Becky Hemsley

"TELL ME TOMORROW"
by Becky Hemsley

Don’t wait till I’m gone
And then stand up to speak
About all the things
That you loved about me
Don’t sing all my praises
Through all of your tears
When I am no longer
Beside you to hear
Don’t leave all that love
Like a secret unsaid
But tell me tomorrow
Or right now instead
And I’ll tell you too
Of the things I admire
About who you are
And how much you inspire
I’ll speak from my heart
Whilst you’re still here to know
“You are” not “you were”
Or “it used to be so”
I’ll speak of your light
Whilst you’ll still hear the words
And not leave that love
In the darkness, unheard
So tell me tomorrow
Or right now - don’t wait
Because we don’t know
When it might be too late
Because we don’t know
When our time might be up
And we need to hear - while we are here -
That we’re loved

A funny and true story about the Queen

"A funny and true story about the Queen" (author unknown)
Around 2005, the Queen and her Personal Protection Officer, Dick Griffin, were walking alone one afternoon in the hills near the Scottish royal castle, Balmoral.
Two tourists approached them, and engaged in conversation. Griffin recalls:
"There were two hikers coming towards us, and the Queen would always stop and say hello.
Follow Royal Family Page
"They were two Americans on a walking holiday.
"It was clear from the moment we stopped that they hadn't recognized the Queen, which was fine.
"The American gentleman was telling the Queen where they came from, where they were going next, and where they'd been in Britain.
"I could see it coming, and sure enough, he said to Her Majesty: 'And where do you live?'
"She replied: 'Well I live in London, but I've got a holiday home just the other side of the hills.'
"He said: 'How long have you been coming up here?'
"She replied: 'I've been coming up here ever since I was a little girl, so over 80 years.'
"You could see the cogs whirring, so he said: 'Well, if you've been coming up here for over 80 years, you must have met the Queen.'
"Quick as a flash, she said: 'I haven't, but Dick here meets her regularly.'
The hiker then asked Griffin what the monarch was like in person.
"Because I was with her a long time, and I knew I could pull her leg, I said: 'Oh, she can be very cantankerous at times, but she's got a lovely sense of humour.'
The next thing I knew, this guy comes round, puts his arm around my shoulder, and before I could see what was happening, he gets his camera, GIVES IT TO THE QUEEN, and says: 'Can you take a picture of the two of us?'
"Then we swapped places, and I TOOK A PICTURE OF THEM WITH THE QUEEN.
"And we never let on, and we waved goodbye.
"Afterwards, Her Majesty said to me: 'I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he shows those photographs to his friends in America, and hopefully someone tells him who I am'."
Rest in Peace Your Majesty
