TODAY I MADE A WISH by Joanne Boyle

"TODAY I MADE A WISH"
by Joanne Boyle

Today I made a wish
for all the world to hear.
I asked for food for all
and for poverty to disappear.
I asked that all the children
had a blanket and a bed.
A place for them to rest
their precious little head.
I wished for no more crime.
For peace to all mankind.
I wished that mental health
could find peace of mind.
I wished for no more fighting.
I wished for lots more play.
I wished for a future,
for a better day.
I asked for understanding.
I wished everyone was kind.
I wished hope and forgiveness
would be there for all to find.
Today I made a wish
for all the world to hear.
My biggest wish of all
is to live in a world without fear.
